England have had their pelters come from all directions after losing five Tests and three ODIs in a row against Australia this winter, but the cricket team probably thought they were exempt from a bit of cheek from the popular Stick Cricket game.
The game has a cult following, with the objective simple. Be the batsman, and try to time the ball as hard as you can to score quick runs.
That's something that England haven't been doing too much of recently.
According to the latest bug fixes when iPhone users update their app, Stick Cricket notes:
As part of our commitment to realism, it is now impossible to score over 200 when playing as England. The axe is hovering over Alastair Cook at the top of the order, with Piers Morgan waiting in the wings.
There's also good news on the gameplay front:
On some devices playing the game felt like a Jonathan Trott innings. In slow motion. Thanks to numerous performance tweaks, this is no longer the case.
England could really do with a victory to distract from some of the mocking. Unfortunately, that looks like something of a long shot at present.
