Oh, great. Now Richard Sherman has something else to brag about.
The star cornerback is one of three Seattle Seahawks players whose jerseys rank among the top 10 best-sellers for 2013, per ESPN.com's Darren Rovell:
Three Seahawks -- quarterback Russell Wilson, running back Marshawn Lynch and cornerback Richard Sherman -- are among the top 10 best-selling jerseys in the league, according to sales rankings provided to ESPN.com from the league's official store, NFLShop.com. Sales have been tallied from the start of the NFL's fiscal year on April 1, 2013, through last week.
As SportsPickle's DJ Gallo pointed out, Sherman still failed to eclipse Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill on the list:
Russell Wilson had the second-best selling jersey in the league, with Marshawn Lynch checking in at No. 6. Sherman rounded out the top 10. Quarterbacks and running backs always move a lot of merchandise by virtue of how often they're in the center of the action, so it's not a shock that those two cracked the top 10, considering the success of the Seahawks over the past two years.
Sherman, though, is a bit of a surprise, despite his self-promotion. You generally don't see a lot of fans wearing the name and number of the game's biggest defensive stars. They don't score too many touchdowns, and depending on their position, they have much fewer big plays to celebrate than their offensive counterparts.
Sherman is never afraid to let you know how good he is, and given his talent, who can blame him? There's no telling whether he'll use this to get into the head of Demaryius Thomas when the two line up against one another in the Super Bowl.
Nothing is off limits when it comes to trash talk and one-upping an opponent.
One thing is for sure. This is just one more thing Sherman can use to hang over Skip Bayless' head.
