Roger Federer beat Andy Murray 6-4 6-3 6-7 6-3 to reach the semi-finals of the Australian Open.
The Swiss sixth seed, a four-time champion in Melbourne, will now play Rafael Nadal for a place in the final on Friday.
A single break of serve saw Federer take each of the opening two sets and he was serving for the match at 5-4 in the third.
However the Scot broke back and then saved two match points in a tie-break he won 8-6.
Federer failed to capitalise on nine break points in the fourth set before making the breakthrough in the eight game and he sealed a 200-minute victory with an Ace.
