Kobe, Lakers Rout Magic

The Orlando Magic took both regular season games against the Los Angeles Lakers, scoring over 100 points in each game.

In game one of the NBA Finals, the Lakers' defense crushed the Magic offense, limiting them to 32 points in the second half in a 100-75 win for Kobe and his team to give L.A. the 1-0 series lead.

The Lakers' offense put up big numbers in the second and third quarters, outscoring Orlando 60-34 through those two quarters.

Kobe Bryant outscored the Magic 18-15 by himself in the third quarter, as he finished with a game-high 40 points.

The Lakers shot 46 percent from the floor and hit 15-of-18 free throws, while the Magic shot just 29-percent and hit 8-of-23 threes.

Dwight Howard had a double-double with 12 points and 15 boards in his first NBA Finals contest.

Game two will tip off from STAPLES Center on Sunday at 8 PM before the series heads east to Orlando for games three, four, and, if necessary, game five.
