Michigan 77, Wisconsin 70
A year after suffering heartbreak on the same floor, the Michigan Wolverines (13-4, 5-0) went into the Kohl Center and defeated the No. 3 Wisconsin Badgers (16-2, 3-2), 77-70.
The Wolverines held the lead for the most of the game, but things got tight after a 10-0 run by the Badgers late in the second half.
The game was in limbo until the final minute when Michigan guard Nik Stauskas hit a step-back, cold-blooded three-pointer.
Stauskas' shot silenced the crowd in Madison and delivered the first Michigan win in Madison since 1999.
The Wolverines guard also made six clutch free throws after his three to seal the victory for his team, who had never beaten a Bo Ryan-coached Wisconsin team at the Kohl Center.
Stauskas finished with 23 points while Caris LeVert contributed 20 points of his own for the victors.
In defeat, the Badgers received 16 from Josh Gasser and 14 from both Frank Kaminsky and Ben Brust.
