Lt. Col. Cotina Jenkins-Sellers hadn't seen her son in eight months. She missed his football games and even the holidays while being deployed in Kuwait.

On Thursday, she returned home to San Antonio and surprised her 13-year-old son Derrick during his basketball game at Legacy Middle School.

As you can see in the video, Derrick was completely shocked when his mother sneaked up behind him while he was shooting a pair of free throws.

Thanks to Nicole Perez of KSAT.com for the video and hat tip to David Astramskas of Ball Is Life for the find.
