Rookie head coach Jeff Hornacek has done a phenomenal job with the Phoenix Suns so far, but not so long ago he was a three-point thriller for the Suns, Philadelphia 76ers and Utah Jazz. The Suns proved their coach still has the long-range chops with an Instagram video posted on Jan. 16.

It's not clear how many attempts from half court preceded the make, but it sounds like Hornacek says, "I got two left." Regardless of whether it was out of five or 10, it looks like the 50-year-old still has his shooting form down pat. Even his alma mater was excited.

And what is his own player doing trying to faze him by yelling out, "This isn't BASEketball!" Commenter "rtchosenleague" thinks that it's Dionte Christmas, though it's hard to tell on the grainy video. Either way, Hornacek simply responded, "Yeah?" Then the ball rattled in.

Hornacek converted 40.3 percent of his triples and knocked down 828 in his 15-year career. Now that he's back in Phoenix and holding the clipboard, the Suns are 22-16 and seventh in the West (they would be third in the East).

So he's got that going for him, which is nice.
