Arizona has secured commitments from 28 high school and junior college players from the 2014 recruiting class, including most of the top targets it had identified in terms of wants and needs.

But with just over two weeks left before national signing day, there are actually quite a few top-flight recruits who haven't made public who they intend to sign with.

Do the Wildcats have a shot at any of those? According to 247Sports, Arizona is only pursuing a handful of the uncommitted. We look at what the likelihood is that any of them will be sending a fax to Tucson on Feb. 5.

John Smith

1 of 5

    Position: Athlete

    Dimensions: 6'1", 200 lbs.

    247Sports composite ranking: 17th

Chance he'll sign with Arizona: Small

Smith is a gifted receiver and defensive back who is weighing offers from 21 schools, many of them the kind that tend to get lots of 5-star recruits. Arizona is one of five schools that Smith is considered to have "warm" interest in, according to 247Sports, though he's never made an official visit to the school. Maybe the Wildcats' best bet is if Smith's old teammate from Long Beach Poly (Calif.), Arizona freshman free safety David Price, can talk him into signing on.

Damian Prince

2 of 5

    Position: Offensive tackle

    Dimensions: 6'5", 295 lbs.

    247Sports composite ranking: 26th

Chance he'll sign with Arizona: Not likely

Prince hasn't visited Arizona, nor does he have a visit scheduled before signing day. He has scholarship offers from 35 schools, but only three (Florida, Maryland and South Carolina) are considered strong contenders for his services, according to 247Sports.

Andrew Mike

3 of 5

    Position: Offensive tackles

    Dimensions: 6'7", 270 lbs.

    247Sports composite ranking: 359th

Chance he'll sign with Arizona: Decent

Mike wasn't highly sought-after prior to his senior year of high school, at least on a national scale, but he's picked up offers from the likes of Arkansas, Florida and Purdue since mid-November. He visited Washington in late November and Arkansas this past weekend, while he's got a scheduled visit to Florida on Jan. 24. Mike only made an unofficial visit to Arizona last summer, but as a Tucson resident he's been to the campus many times and might just want to stay close to home.

Nick Gates

4 of 5

    Position: Offensive tackle

    Dimensions: 6'5", 270 lbs.

    247Sports composite ranking: 479th

Chance he'll sign with Arizona: Small

Gates visited Arizona this past weekend, the fourth of his five official visits. He's already been to Michigan, Nebraska and Texas A&M, with a planned trip to UCLA on Jan. 24. Those other schools have more of a tradition of producing top-flight offensive linemen, so it might come down to whether he wants to be the next great one or be among the first with Arizona.

Jabril Frazier

5 of 5

    Position: Outside linebacker

    Dimensions: 6'4", 225 lbs.

    247Sports composite ranking: 1,005th

Chance he'll sign with Arizona: Good

Arizona showed early interest in Frazier, getting the Los Angeles linebacker in for an unofficial visit during the summer. That was before 247Sports increased their rating of him from 85 to 92, at which time Boise State swooped in and made an offer. Frazier visited Boise last weekend, though 247Sports' experts still give Arizona the edge to sign him.
