Perhaps it was just the intimidation of facing the recently crowned Ballon d'Or winner that got to Osasuna goalkeeper Andres Fernandez.
Playing in his first match since capturing football's biggest individual prize, Cristiano Ronaldo extended Real Madrid's advantage over Osasuna in their second-leg tie in the Copa del Rey with a free-kick from 30 yards out.
His free-kick went straight at Fernandez, but the keeper couldn't make a fairly routine save. After initially stopping the ball, he allowed it to bounce between his legs.
Ha, with goalkeeping like that Cristiano may well beat his 69 goals from last year. Free-kick from range goes right thru Andres. 1-0 Madrid— Kieran Canning (@KieranCanning) January 15, 2014
