NY High School Basketball Player Forces Game to Be Postponed After Rim Breaks

Tristan ThornburghSocial Media StaffJanuary 15, 2014

A game between Saratoga Springs High School and Ballston Spa High School (N.Y.) had to be cancelled on Tuesday night after Saratoga Springs' Noah Arciero broke the rim on a breakaway dunk.

Just 1:31 into the game, Arciero's two-handed rim-busting slam put Saratoga Springs up 8-3. Equipment personnel attempted to fix the rim for roughly 15 minutes before announcing that the game would have to be postponed. The teams will resume play on Thursday.

Hat tip to Chris Maley of The Saratogian and Stephen Douglas of The Big Lead for bringing this to our attention.
