Vince Young is pissed.

And I don't blame him one bit.

The ex-Texas hero and Tennessee golden boy is being knocked around in the sporting press because he claimed that if he can’t start for the Titans, he would like to be traded to a team where he can.

OK.

Where is the problem with this? Isn't that the whole point/spirit/essence of NFL competition? Isn't it said that when the game is on the line, a winner wants the ball?

Vince Young wants the ball.

You can’t be a hero or a champion sitting on the bench. Sure you might get a ring, but a true competitor wants more.

Vince Young should be a starter in the NFL. He is far too talented to waste on the bench holding a clipboard. And he said out loud, "I wanna play."

What's wrong with that?
