Ahmad Brooks Soars over Panthers' Offensive Line Too Early, Cam Newton Flops

When the opponent faces a 3rd-and-goal from the 1-yard line, a defense can be aggressive. On Sunday against the Carolina Panthers, the San Francisco 49ers' Ahmad Brooks took that to the extreme.

The linebacker tried to make an aggressive play by jumping over the Panthers' offensive line, but he took off too early and was flagged for being offside.

Carolina quarterback Cam Newton put together a nice—and unnecessary—acting job:

The Panthers had to settle for a field goal on the drive, which gave them a 10-6 lead over the 49ers.
