Marques Colston Doesn't Go out of Bounds, Ends Game with Illegal Forward Pass

After the New Orleans Saints scored a touchdown with 26 seconds left to bring them within one score at 23-15, they were able to recover the ensuing onside kick to keep their hopes alive against the Seattle Seahawks. Drew Brees was able to find Marques Colston at Seattle's 38-yard line with six seconds left, but Colston didn't think there was enough time on the clock.

After catching the ball, Colston decided to not step out of bounds. Instead, he tried to throw a lateral pass to pull off the miracle touchdown. Unfortunately, he accidentally threw an illegal forward pass, ending the game.

Colston has spoken on the final play.

Colston echoed what Payton said. Final play was something in the play book.
