With Bruno Mars already scheduled to be the main act at the Super Bowl halftime show, it appears that the Red Hot Chili Peppers will reportedly be joining him during the act.

According to Joe Flint of the Los Angeles Times, Mars is expected to make the announcement during FOX's coverage of the game between the Seattle Seahawks and New Orleans Saints on Saturday. The band was already scheduled to play in Brooklyn during a pre-Super Bowl party, but this would certainly be a bigger stage for them to perform.

While the combination of Bruno Mars and the Red Hot Chili Peppers is an odd one, it will likely appeal to a wider audience if the report is true.
