Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City just aren't supposed to mix. However, when Lucas Leiva had his birthday party yesterday, players from all three clubs came to celebrate with him.

Leiva put a picture from the evening on Instagram, showing the South American contingent in the North West of England having a good time:

Pictured from left to right are Iago Aspas (Liverpool, the only European in the lineup), Fabio (Manchester United), Luis Suarez (Liverpool), Lucas himself (Liverpool), Philippe Coutinho (Liverpool), Rafael (Manchester United), Fernandinho (Manchester City) and Pablo Zabaleta (Manchester City).

It is quite probably the only time in history that a United player (Rafael) has been pictured simultaneously arm-in-arm with a Liverpool and Manchester City opponent.

It just goes to show that the Spanish-/Portuguese-speaking community are alive and well in the UK, and that club divisions can be set aside when a Brazilian midfielder turns 27.
