Philip Rivers: Recapping Rivers's Week 17 Fantasy Performance

Bleacher Report AdministratorSenior Analyst IIJanuary 9, 2014

Rivers completed 22-of-33 passes for 229 yards, with three touchdowns and an interception in Sunday’s overtime win over Kansas City. He led the Chargers to two fourth-quarter scoring drives and one final drive in the extra session.
In clutch moments, Rivers did just enough for his team to win and advance to the postseason. A balanced offensive attack saw Ryan Mathews and Danny Woodhead eat into Rivers’ chances to post an outstanding line for fantasy purposes. That type of game plan bodes well for the Chargers’ chances to advance next Sunday against the Bengals.
