DeMarco Murray: Recapping Murray's Week 17 Fantasy Performance

Bleacher Report AdministratorSenior Analyst IIJanuary 9, 2014

Despite lining up behind a backup quarterback in Kyle Orton, Murray didn't have quite the expected impact in Sunday's 24-22 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Murray rushed 17 times for 51 yards, while also catching five passes for 39 yards out of the backfield. Murray fumbled on the opening drive as well.
Murray failed to gain at least 100 yards from scrimmage for the first time since November 10th at New Orleans. He was also held out of the end zone for the first time in three games. The Eagles stacked the box against the run and dared Kyle Orton to beat them. Despite the down game to end the 2013 campaign, Murray proved that he is a standout fantasy option overall when healthy.
