Copa del Rey, Last-16, 1st Leg

BARCELONA 4-0 GETAFE

Goals: Fabregas 8 & 62 (pen), Messi 89 & 93

Lionel Messi marked the perfect comeback on Wednesday with two late goals in Barcelona's 4-0 thrashing of Getafe in the Copa del Rey.

The Argentinian began the game on the bench after recovering from a hamstring injury that had kept him out since early November.

But his introduction on the hour mark at the Camp Nou sparked the game into life after two Cesc Fabregas efforts—the second from the penalty spot—had put the home side firmly in control.

Messi made it three in the final minutes before saving the best until last in stoppage time, making a typical run before bending his shot beyond Codina in the visitors' goal.
