Final Score: San Antonio Spurs 112, Dallas Mavericks 90
The San Antonio Spurs proved once again why they're the kings of the Southwest Division with a dominating win over the Dallas Mavericks (20-16) on Wednesday night.
The deficit at halftime wasn't nearly as large as the final score indicates. Dallas only trailed 45-38 after 24 minutes, but the Spurs pulled away in the third quarter, outscoring the Mavericks 37-24.
Tim Duncan finished the night with a double-double 16 points and 13 rebounds, while Tony Parker led all scorers with 25 points on an efficient 10-of-15 shooting.
Marco Belinelli came off the bench and gave San Antonio a huge boost with 17 points in 25 minutes.
The turnover difference was well in favour of Dallas, who only had seven on the night in comparison to the 16 San Antonio finished with. Unfortunately, the Mavericks couldn't capitalize due to their poor shooting (41.9 percent from the field).
Monta Ellis (21 points and four assists) and Vince Carter (14 points) were the only Dallas players to score in double-figures. Dirk Nowitzki had eight points on a horrid 3-of-14 shooting.
