Here's an early candidate for the oddest injury of the year. The Colorado Avalanche's Ryan O'Reilly hurt his shoulder while celebrating teammate Paul Stastny's goal on Tuesday night.

O'Reilly didn't last long in the group hug and skated away in pain.

The Denver Post's Adrian Dater reported that O'Reilly is day-to-day.

Thanks to NHL.com for the video, with credit to Puck Daddy's Harrison Mooney (h/t Extra Mustard's Sam Page) for the find.
