High School Team Wants You to Know the Double Alley-Oop Is Kind of Their Thing

Sometimes, a dunk isn't enough. The defenders clog the middle and an alley-oop is a far more preferable method of scoring. But what if the alley-oop is doomed and you need one more dish, one more dime, before the play is done?

Thankfully, we have that answer.

Twitter user Baby Trickshot sent out a tweet featuring this video, and we thank them for it. Although, there isn't a great deal of information readily available.

If anyone out there knows the specifics behind the kids who pull off these masterful jams, please help us out in the comments section below.

The YouTube description does offer that these are the young men of the "Elev|8 Sport Institute's Nike Elite High School Team." And the video was shot over the duration of the Hollywood, Florida New Year's Invitational, which took place Jan. 3 and 4.

Judging by the dance party and trophies, we assume this team did very well. Also, I don't know why, but this video reminded me of all those swimming-pool trick shots that ran rampant around the Internet during the summer.

Here's a sample:

Well, consider this the dry version.

Constrained by those silly basketball rules, gravity and the lack of any liquid conveyance, these basketball stars managed to captivate not once, but twice.

Forget those pool shots, because we need more of this. Seeing the double alley-oop one night after another, we think it's time for these kids to introduce a fourth player.

Oh yeah, we like where this is headed.
