Vanderbilt 41, Houston 24—FINAL

Vanderbilt took a 24-0 halftime lead before Houston responded to tie the game at 24 in the third quarter.  Vanderbilt was too much down the stretch, however, as the Houston Cougars squandered chance after chance before the Commodores secured a 41-24 victory in the 2014 BBVA Compass Bowl.

This marks the first set of back-to-back bowl victories in Vanderbilt's history, along with the first time the Commodores have finished with nine wins in two consecutive seasons.  The 'Dores are now 16-4 in their last 20 games; Alabama is the only SEC team with a better record in its previous 20 games, with a 17-3 mark.
