Tomas Hertl Injury: Updates on Sharks Star's Knee and Return

Kevin Kurz of CSN Bay Area has an update on Hertl:

Sharks rookie Tomas Hertl has been medically cleared to return to game action, and will play n on Friday night vs. Colorado, a source has told CSNCalifornia.com.

Two independent doctors have cleared him -- Dr. Mark Saffron at Stanford, and Dr. Anthony Miniaci, based out of Cleveland, OH. Miniaci performed the surgery to repair the PCL and MCL ligaments in Hertl's right knee on Dec. 31.

Kurz added more from Hertl:

Hertl: “I am very excited b/c it’s 4 months, no playing hockey. I’m very happy, and before playoffs I hope it’s all good and knee is OK."
