I am going to review every Arsenal player who performed for Arsenal in 2008-09.

Arsenal's first choice keeper Manuel Almunia enjoyed a solid season. Almunia had some amazing performances, like the first leg of the Champions League semifinal against Manchester United, where he pulled of a number of amazing saves.

Almunia also donned the captain's armband for a few games early on in the season before Fabregas took over. Almunia rarely made a mistake and was one of the main reasons Arsenal managed to retain fourth place.

Almunia is likely to be at Arsenal next season and undoubtedly the first choice keeper. He appeared 44 times in all competitions for the Gunners in 08-09. 32 appearances in the EPL and 12 in Europe.
