Success in fantasy soccer is all about maximizing value. This means selecting the right high-priced stars and then backing them up with stronger value plays.

I've sifted through the trends and matchups for Matchday 20 to piece together the following lineup.

Thanks to the matchups I was able to select the stars of my lineup with confidence and support them with strong value plays.

All values and points via

G: Wojciech Szczesny, 5.8, Arsenal

In a battle to hold onto the top spot in the EPL table, Arsenal have continued to prove to be a stingy opponent. Arsenal are tied for the fewest goals allowed in the EPL with 18. The Gunners will enjoy the home pitch this week against Cardiff City and a third clean sheet in his last four matches is a strong possibility for Wojciech Szczesny.

D: Seamus Coleman, 6.5, Everton; Dejan Lovren, 5.7, Southampton; Sylvain Distin, 5.3, Everton; Jose Fonte, 5.1, Southampton

The back line of stingy Southampton have provided good value plays all season and I'm not going to turn my back on that now. Southampton is coming off a recent stretch where they allowed at least one goal in five straight league contests. They have, however, allowed just one total goal in their last two league matches.

Southampton will be facing a tough Chelsea side this week, but the Blues have scored just six total goals in their last six league matches.

This week, I decided to back up my Southampton pair with a duo from Everton. Everton are facing a Stoke City side that has netted just 18 goals on the year. Meanwhile, Everton have held their opponent to one goal or fewer in each of their last seven league contests.

M: Yohan Cabaye, 6.9, Newcastle; Adam Lallana, 7.2, Southampton; Jack Wilshere, 6.1, Arsenal

After going for 19 combined points in Weeks 17 and 18, Yohan Cabaye was held to two fantasy points in a tough match against Arsenal last week. He will find much more room to operate this week as he faces a West Brom side that has allowed 27 goals this season.

Southampton midfielder Adam Lallana is coming off of a match where he picked up a yellow card and just a lackluster four points. That came in a tough match against Everton, however. He will be facing another tough test against Everton this week, but he is a solid value at 7.2 and on his home pitch.

Coming off of his ban for an obscene gesture, Jack Wilshere tallied three points against Newcastle. He was extremely active.

This week, he'll be facing Cardiff City and a defense that has allowed 30 goals this season. With Mesut Ozil and Aaron Ramsey dealing with injuries, Arsenal will give Wilshere plenty of opportunities to create plays.

F: Luis Suarez, 13.2, Liverpool; Olivier Giroud, 8.6, Arsenal; Marouane Chamakh, 4.8, Crystal Palace

Luis Suarez is pricey, but he proves to be worth it almost every week. He has 22 points in his last three matches and that includes an intense outing against Manchester City where he netted just one point.

This week, Suarez will be looking to exploit a Hull City team that has allowed 23 goals. He will also be trying to reward his manager for the public support given to him following Jose Mourinho's less then complimentary comments.

Olivier Giroud can be frustrating for Arsenal fans to watch, but he is certainly producing in the fantasy realm. Giroud has 15 combined points in his last three matches and a favorable matchup against Cardiff City.

After finishing off a suspension, Marouane Chamakh started Crystal Palace's last match on the bench. He wound up playing 56 minutes and earned one point.

The following tweet came before Chamakh's last game action, but it shows the kind of form he has been enjoying.

With Chamakh likely heading back to the starting lineup for their next match, which comes against Norwich City, he provides an excellent value play.
