Dude I’m so steamed right now.  Affliction is once again getting me excited to watch them, but a part of me should know better.  Thus far, they have a main event that most fan have been begging to see in Fedor vs. Barnett, and now there are talks that Gegard Mousasi is going to fight Babalu, what the deuce.

What makes me madder about that is that I can almost guarantee that the numbers will be very good for this event and will make Tom Atencio want to do one more card next year, which makes me even madder.

The rest of the talked about card isn’t all that bad.  Who doesn’t want to see Paul “The Headhunter” Buentello beat the tar out of Tim Sylvia, or see Jay Heiron take Paul Daley to the ground and ground and pound him all day?

This still leaves Vitor Belfort, Mark Hominick, Ben Rothwell, and others still left to get a fight.

I guess I’m mad because I know what will happen, we will all love the event, want more, then in a few months after the fight Strikeforce, Dream and others will be buying them out or signing their fighters. I just wish they would have had their crap together before they got us all fired up.

At sources state that a fight between Vitor Belfort and Jorge Santiago will be confirmed this week and the fight is set to be on the Main Card of the Aug. 1st event.  Your killing me here Affliction, your killing me.
