LOS ANGELES, CA - MAY 18: Ryan Church #19 of the New York Mets celebrates his run with Luis Castillo #1 off of an Angel Pagan #16 triple against the Los Angeles Dodgers during the 11th inning at Dodger Stadium on May 18, 2009 in Los Angeles, California. The run was taken away as Church was called out for not touching third base on the way to home. The Mets would lose 3-2. (Photo by Harry How/Getty Images)

The Mets placed Angel Pagan on the disable list with a strained right groin.

I feel sorry for Pagan, every time he gets a chance, he shows he can play in the major leagues, but then ends up getting hurt. Pagan is in phenomenal shape and usually gets hurt, as a result of busting it.

Don't expect a player from Buffalo to be coming up. Alex Cora will be coming off the disabled list tomorrow and the team plans to swap to the two players out.

The positional players roster isn't perfect. With Cora, they will have four outfielders (Sheffield, Beltran, Reed, and Martinez), while carrying six infielders (Wright, Martinez, Valdez, Castillo, Tatis, and Murphy).

The Mets placed outfielder Angel Pagan on the 15-day disabled list Monday with a strained right groin, leaving themselves one player short for their series opener against the Pirates. With infielder Alex Cora set to come off the DL on Tuesday, the Mets decided not to call up a player to take Pagan's roster spot Monday. Source
