Ashley Cole a Target for Left-Back
Metro reports that Liverpool continue to look at Ashley Cole as a serious option for left-back.
The England international has been out of the side at Chelsea and is out of contract in the summer, with the Reds and Spurs both interested in taking him in January—or at least offering him a deal then.
Cesar Azpilicueta has been Chelsea's recent left-back, and Liverpool have used both Jon Flanagan and Aly Cissokho in that role recently while Jose Enrique remains sidelined.
Betting Suspended on Salah to Liverpool?
David Maddock of Mirror Football reports that Liverpool are close to sealing a £7 million deal for winger Mohamed Salah.
The Basel winger is an Egyptian international who has impressed in the Champions League this season.
Oddschanger on Twitter signals that betting has been suspended with some bookmakers on Salah making the switch to Liverpool.
Jorginho Still on the List
TalkSPORT reports that Liverpool and Chelsea remain interested in midfielder Jorginho but note that Zenit St. Petersburg are also now in the running.
