For the first time this season, Jon Lester pitched well for his entire outing, as he went six innings while giving up one run and striking out twelve.

Normally, Lester has pitched well with the exception of one inning, which has been giving his ERA grief. Today, he allowed only one run in the 1st.

Kevin Youkilis led the Red Sox' charge with 2 homers en route an 8-2 victory. Dustin Pedroia and Jason Bay each chipped in with one home run, and Jacoby Ellsbury put himself back on track as he went 1-3. David Ortiz went 1-5, in another disappointing outing.
