Highlighted by a career-high 33-point effort in a 92-78 win at Texas, Michigan State senior forward Adreian Payne was named Big Ten Men's Basketball Player of the Week by the conference office on Dec. 23. It was the second weekly honor of the season for Payne, who averaged 26.0 points and 8.0 rebounds in two games, shooting .708 from the field, including .429 from 3-point range, and .938 from the foul line.
