James Harden is the top shooting guard in the NBA draft this year, and the Toronto Raptors are in need of a true shooting guard. Anthony Parker is a great shooting guard but is inconsistent and would be a great backup for Harden. If the Toronto Raptors don't draft a shooting guard this year, then we have no chance of being successful in the NBA.
Another top shooting guard/shooting Forward that has more of a chance of being in a Raptors uniform next session is is Demar Derozan, a former USC Trojan. Derozan would also be a great pick for the Toronto Raptors. He is a great driving-to-the-basket, mid-range shooter type of player who hasn't yet developed his long-range shooting.
Another great shooting guard that could be in a raptors uniform is Gerald Henderson, coming out out Duke. He has great size for a shooting guard, and also plays great defence. He is a solid rebounder, and can also block and steal—a great all-around player.
But the mock drafts around the net say that Harden will be going between No. 3 and No. I just hope that some how he falls to the Raptors at No. 9, hopefully making Chris Bosh want to sign an extension in Toronto.
If James harden starts and Anthony Parker comes off the bench ,we will be a great shooting team. Just have your fingers crossed on June 25, when David Stern calls the ninth pick.
