Hull City 2 (Chester 4, Meyler 13)
Manchester United 3 (Smalling 19, Rooney 26, Chester OG 66)
Manchester United came from two early goals down to defeat Hull City 3-2 at the KC Stadium on Boxing Day.
James Chester had given the Tigers a fourth-minute lead, before David Meyler added a second with the help of a deflection off Jonny Evans in the 13th minute.
But Chris Smalling headed United back into the match six minutes later, and Wayne Rooney struck his 150th Premier League goal for United to equalise.
In the 66th minute, an Ashley Young cross was turned into his own net by Chester.
However, United's win was marred by the unnecessary 90th-minute dismissal of Antonio Valencia, who picked up a second yellow card for petulantly kicking the ball away.
