2009 has been very good so far to the Texas Rangers. So far they are in first place in the West, and have the best record in the American League. Texas is also coming off the best May in club history.

Many people are scratching their heads about the Rangers right now. Nobody expected them to be this good, this year. So as a lifelong fan and supporter, I am left to wonder, can this last into August and September?

Well, we will see how well the Rangers can stack up against some of the elite teams in the AL on this coming road trip. All in all, if the Rangers can just handle their division foes, then they will get a chance to go to the post-season for the first time since '99.

But as a fan, I want to see them beat the Yankees, Red Sox and Blue Jays. I want to have hope that there is a chance the Rangers could get hot and make a deep run into October. But what I want to happen and what will happen will likely end up looking totally different.

So far this season, I have become more excited about the Rangers than I have been in a long time. I will just sit back and enjoy the ride. Because while we may not see a World Series in Texas this season, I am still hoping for a post-season run.
