UNC's Roy Williams: If Players Can't Make Free Throws They Should 'Play Soccer'

Tristan ThornburghSocial Media StaffDecember 23, 2013

University of North Carolina head coach Roy Williams is fed up with his team being unable to make free throws. Over the span of a week, the Tar Heels shot abysmally from the free-throw line:

26-45, 57.8 percent, vs. Kentucky (W) on Dec. 14
20-33, 60.6 percent, vs. Texas (L) on Dec. 18
14-24, 58.3 percent, vs. Davidson (W, OT) on Dec. 21

Now Williams has an interesting solution to the team's free-throw woes: soccer. While Williams' anger is completely justified, the jab at soccer is just confusing.
