Illinois High Schooler Deflects Pass into Basket for Most Unlikely Shot Ever

They say the best offense is a good defense, but it's not supposed to be this easy.

Blue Island (Ill.) Eisenhower High senior Kalin Hawkins deflected a pass while defending an inbounds play that miraculously resulted in the ball going through the net. The basket ended up being crucial, as Eisenhower beat Tinley Park 87-85.

In an interview with the Chicago Tribune's Bob Narang, Eisenhower coach Mike Curtis described the shot as the longest field goal of the year, saying:

It barely made the net move. There was a pause. Nobody knew if they should put two points on the board. It was wild. I saw it right away, and I was jumping up and down like an idiot.
