Jerrel Jernigan: Recapping Jernigan's Week 16 Fantasy Performance

Bleacher Report AdministratorSenior Analyst IIDecember 23, 2013

In a bit of a surprise, it was not Hakeem Nicks or Reuben Randle who took advantage of the absence of star wideout Victor Cruz. That distinction went to Jernigan, who caught six passes for 80 yards and a touchdown to lead the Giants in receiving in Sunday's 23-20 OT victory over the Detroit Lions.
Jernigan caught seven passes for 67 yards the week before against Seattle. He has been targeted 20 times over his last two games. With Cruz out for the remainder of the season, expect quarterback Eli Manning to continue looking Jernigan's way in the regular season finale against the Washington Redskins.
