Both Arsenal and Chelsea's seasons may hinge on their results against the Premier League's elite, suggesting the upcoming Emirates showdown could throw up a defining moment of the campaign.

A win for the Gunners would see Arsene Wenger's men reclaim their spot at the top of the division, while three points for Chelsea would take Jose Mourinho's side onto the same amount of points as Liverpool at the summit—although they would remain behind on goal difference.

This mouthwatering tie is sure to throw up some drama.

Anticipating exactly this, we simulated the match using EA Sports' FIFA 14 on Xbox One. The Matchday update was applied, ensuring all players' stats replicate current form, and as ever, absentees were taken into account with information gathered from the Premier League's official site.

Arsenal vs. Chelsea: FIFA 14 Highlights

3 minsA fast-paced start sees Chelsea float the ball toward the attack, but Arsenal clear. Wenger's team pass up the field brilliantly and interchange on the edge of the visitors' box without coming under any pressure.

Santi Cazorla floats a cross in from the left wing, but Mathieu Flamini volleys into the ground and Petr Cech is able to comfortably capture the ball.

The rest of the opening half passes without incident. Theo Walcott has two blocked shots just before halftime, but neither side have the penetration to take the lead. 0-0 at the break.

45 mins—Arsenal begin the second half much like the first. Bacary Sagna and link down the right before regrouping. Walcott is eventually set away on the right and fires a deep cross toward Santi Cazorla, who can only head wide.

49 mins—The home side continue to pressure and work Branislav Ivanovic off the ball straight from Cech's kick. A fantastic pass from Flamini finds Cazorla sprinting into the right side of Chelsea's area. He turns John Terry with a subtle change of direction and smashes a fantastic shot off Cech's post and into the net.

55 mins—Arsenal once again look threatening down the right, but a sloppy backheel from Walcott loses possession and sees Mourinho's side launch a counterattack. John Obi Mikel delivers a stunning pass into the onrushing Ramires, who holds the ball up and passes to Fernando Torres.

The Spaniard bursts into the box but kills his chance of outpacing the defence by stopping in his tracks. A weak shot is easily saved by Wojciech Szczesny.

Somewhat remarkably, neither side shows ambition during the rest of the game. Chelsea are unable to carve out any close chances, while Arsenal mop up any potential pressure well before panic sets in. A disappointing end to the tie, but one the North London clubs won't mind at all.
