Facing a critical 4th-and-goal from the Washington 10-yard line with 75 seconds remaining, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo found a way to win the game.
He extended the play long enough for DeMarco Murray to get open, and the two connected for a touchdown to give the Cowboys a 24-23 lead with just over a minute remaining.
Dallas' defense held on the next possession, sealing the victory. The Cowboys rallied from a nine-point deficit in the fourth quarter to improve to 8-7.
The victory means that the Cowboys will play for the NFC East title in Week 17 for the third straight season—one against each team in the division. They are 0-2 in the previous winner-take-all games.
