An enormous amount of pressure on quarterback Ryan Tannehill turned out to be the theme of the game, as he was sacked seven times during the Miami Dolphins' 19-0 loss to the Buffalo Bills.

The Dolphins now fall to 8-7 on the season, and their playoff hopes have taken a drastic hit. If the Oakland Raiders and Baltimore Ravens win their games today, the Dolphins will be mathematically eliminated from playoff contention.

Credit must be given to a relentless Bills defense. Yes, they did sack Tannehill seven times today, but they also intercepted Matt Moore twice and held the Dolphins offense to just 103 total yards.

Tannehill had one of his worst statistical days of the season, completing just 10 of his 27 passing attempts for 82 yards for a passer rating of 45.6.

On the flip side, Thad Lewis was solid in relief for the injured EJ Manuel. Lewis completed 15 of 25 passing attempts for 193 yards, zero touchdowns and one interception. His performance was good enough to manage the game while the Bills running game took over and recorded 203 yards on the ground on Sunday.

The Bills should be proud of their team-wide performance today. The Dolphins, on the other hand, have to take a wait-and-see approach in regard to their postseason chances.
