Ohio State trailed for the majority of the final ten minutes of the game and even found itself behind by eight points with about one minute remaining before going on an incredible 14-3 run to end the game.
The Buckeyes' suffocating defense forced 13 turnovers from the Irish, which was ultimately the deciding factor in the outcome. LaQuinton Ross led the way with 16 points, but it was Aaron Craft's defense and timely assists and the late scoring from Lenzelle Smith Jr. down the stretch that decided it.
The victory moved Ohio State to a perfect 12-0, while Notre Dame falls to 8-4. Next up for the Buckeyes is a matchup with Louisiana-Monroe. The Irish face Canisius before ACC play begins.
