As reported by The Boston Globe, Stephon Marbury gave us a sign today that he is thinking about re-signing with the Celtics by keeping his Waltham apartment. The apartment is located near the Celtics' training facilities in Boston.

Stephon Marbury has already been seen working out and working on his shooting in the nearby facility. Even the day after the Celtics season ended, Marbury did not take a break from basketball.

He hit the court and continued working hard.

There have been numerous reports that Steph wants to join Flip Saunders in Washington next season. If this is true, then we will need to find another point guard to spell Rajon Rondo in the offseason.

Even though Steph had a short and inconsistent season with the Celtics, you have to remember he did not play in a game for over a year. It should have been expected that he would need some time to shake off the rust and get back in playing shape.

I really like Steph as a player and think he has several more years left in the tank. If he does decide to stay in Boston (and works out with the team for a whole year), I think he can be a large contributor. He has tons of experience and endless amounts of talent.

I really hope Steph decides to re-sign with Boston this season to help them return to the NBA championship next season.
