C’mon, Charles. You’re killing the vibes.

If you haven’t heard, TNT’s Inside the NBA is a comedy show with a crippling basketball addiction. The crew manages to be both insightful and entertaining most days of the week; however, the holiday season appears to have turned Charles Barkley into a grumpy Grinch.

The crew started an impromptu jam session Thursday night, banging away with pens and palms. Shaq, Ernie Johnson and Kenny Smith were all in high spirits, enjoying themselves immensely on the holiday-themed set.

Barkley was having none of it, however, and his sad-sack ways were spotted by Michael Shamburger of The Big Lead (h/t Kiley Kmiec of Next Impulse Sports).

Why so sad, Chuck?

If anyone knows how to goof around on the set, it’s Barkley. He’s been known to enjoy some couch wrestling in his day.

Barkley also loves interrupting somber moments to razz Shaq about his past cinematic endeavors involving certain children’s movies.

That’s Barkley—a big old bag of laughs—but the rhythmic jam session was obviously not something he was cool with. Perhaps he had a bad experience with a drum circle as a child and doesn’t want to show everyone that his percussive skills are severely lacking.

Indeed, Chuck was not happy Thursday night.

That’s the face of a man who knows he’s going to wake up to socks and a Ped Egg on Christmas morning.
