10. JBL

JBL may have left WWE for good, but still in the 4 month period he become the IC champion, and had a shot against John Cena for the World Heavyweight championship. Also, he feuded with HBK for a while.

9. Batista

After undergoing surgery, Batista made a strong impact on his return after Wrestlemania. First he was in a 3-on-3 match at Backlash. Then he had a shot at Randy Orton for the WWE Title, but it ended in a disqualification.

8. Rey Mysterio

Capturing the IC Championship in less then a minute against JBL was a huge accomplishment. Now Rey Mysterio continues to dominate after being drafted to Smackdown. He is on top of the feud against Chris Jericho.

7. CM Punk

Two years in a row, the Money In The Bank winner also became the IC Champion. The Down side is he has been feuding with Umaga and is getting the crap beaten out of him week after week.

6. Christian

Ever since returning to WWE, he has been on fire: first humiliating Jack Swagger in front of millions of people and then beating him four times, two of them for the ECW Championship. You can expect a lot more great things from him in the near future.

5. Edge

The difference between Edge and John Cena is being the best or saying he is the best which Edge is clearly saying. First, the only way he won the World title at the Royal Rumble was because of Matt Hardy hitting Jeff Hardy with a steel chair.

At No Mercy, same thing he only won the Raw Elimination Chamber is because of his wife Vickie Guerrero. At Wrestlemania, the only fair fight, he lost.

At Backlash and Judgment Day, he had help to win his title and defend it with the help of Big Show and Matt Hardy.

4. Big Show

He will definitely be very effective on Monday nights week in and week out. He has been able to dominate or hit John Cena unfairly; either way, he has been very impressive.

3. Triple H

The Game is truly the Game; only few can defeat him, such as Randy Orton. Even though he has been M.I.A. for the past weeks, he did defeat Randy Orton at the grandest stage of them all.

2. Randy Orton

Becoming WWE Champion, winning the Royal Rumble, having the guts to kick Mr. McMahon in the skull. Definitely means something, along with punting Triple H in the head to win the WWE Championship. He has been probably the most exciting superstar of 2009 so far.

1. John Cena

Lifting up more then 600 pounds (Big Show and Edge) he has got to be the most talented strongest and most popular superstar. Getting thrown into a spotlight and nearly dying and returning the next day? He is truly No. 1.
