Cassel earned the right to start his third consecutive game after carving up the Eagles secondary for 382 yards last Sunday. He's likely to face a much stiffer test on the road in Week 16 against a Bengals seventh ranked pass defense.
Cassel has breathed life into the Vikings vertical passing attack, but the Bengals allow just 219.6 yards per game through the air. Cassel's opportunities figure to decrease as well with Adrian Peterson likely returning from his one and a half game absence. Cassel projects as a back end QB2 this Sunday.
