Kobe Bryant had perhaps his best game since returning from the torn Achilles, scoring 21 points on 9-of-18 shooting and dishing out four assists.
He had several great moves in the post and relied more on footwork and fundamentals than athleticism—something he may need to do more often.
Pau Gasol played was also good for the Lakers. Spending most of his time in the post, Pau scored 21 on 9-of-12 shooting.
Nick Young added 18 off the bench.
Zach Randolph led the Grizzlies with 18 points and 16 rebounds and Jon Leuer pitched in 13 (his sixth straight game in double-figures).
