According to a report from the St. Louis Post Dispatch, the St. Louis Rams will be put up for sale by owners Chip Rosenbloom and Lucia Rodriguez.

Rosenbloom and Rodriguez have attained the services of Goldman Sachs to put the team up for sale.  The Rams franchise is estimated to be worth $929 million, according to Forbes Magazine.

Rosenbloom would like to keep the sale local, meaning St. Louis representatives would have the first shot at buying the team.  However, with a lack of interest in the area, Rosenbloom may be forced to sell to a buyer who will move the team out of St. Louis.

The Rams originally moved to St. Louis from Los Angeles in 1995.  A move back to the franchise's former city is not out of the question.
