Raw Review 12/16/13: Triple Threat Tease, the Shield's Status and More

WWE Raw went off the air with the tease of a possible triple threat feud between Daniel Bryan, Randy Orton and CM Punk. While Bryan was laid out, the scene was promising for his character as this implied that he was back in the WWE World Heavyweight title picture.

Not so fast.

Daniel Bryan’s feud with the Wyatt family is far from over. Bryan lost to Bray Wyatt, and Wyatt cut a promo the following night on Raw vowing to destroy Bryan in the name of an empty chair. With the Wyatts lingering, Bryan is on borrowed time if he is booked to compete for a world title.

The Shield appeared to be splitting, but everything seemed honky dory following a win over CM Punk and the Usos on Raw. WWE continues to time their split perfectly, with Roman Reigns still showing breakout potential.

Next week on Raw will see a special Christmas episode pitting a good Santa against a bad Santa. If historical holiday ratings are any indication, the ratings won’t be good.
