It seems like Manchester City's owners are learning lessons from January's transfer window by getting players in as early as possible.
It is widely reported that senior personnel within Manchester City believe that they have secured the services of both Carlos Tevez (£32m) and Gareth Barry (£10m).
These two signings, if confirmed would be a massive boost to the image of the club in the wider sense and no doubt aid Mark Hughes in his negotiations with other top players.
Of course none of this is as yet confirmed by Tevez or City but the sources are senior with confirmation apparently close.
In addition City are still chasing Kaka and hope that playing alongside Robinho and Tevez will be too tempting to turn down.
