Another week, another bout of transfer rumours surrounding Liverpool Football Club.
Those rumours are only likely to continue to crank up over the coming weeks, especially with the Reds flying high near the top of the Premier League in the wake of their 5-0 win at Tottenham last weekend.
We'll be updating this round-up of transfer rumours throughout the week as usual so make sure to check back regularly—starting with a possible defensive exit and two targets for Liverpool from abroad.
Last Update: Thurs, Dec. 19
Thurs, Dec 19
Liverpool forward Iago Aspas is wanted by Swansea City—or at least, by one of Swansea's players.
Spanish forward Michu has called on his club to try and bring the Reds' No. 9 to the Liberty Stadium in January, according to Phil Cadden of Mirror Football, on a loan deal for the remainder of the season.
Despite starting the season in Liverpool's starting lineup, the return of Luis Suarez and an injury to Aspas himself has stunted his start at Anfield and he has yet to score for his new club.

Liverpool fans would be dreading the opening of the transfer window and the resumption of Suarez-to-leave rumours—but that all might change if the forward signs a new contract.
BBC Sport report that Ian Ayre travelled to Spain to open contract negotiations with Suarez's agent in the hope of extending his current deal, which has two-and-a-half years left to run.
It is expected Suarez would earn in the region of £200,000 per week if he was to agree a new contract.

Chatter arose on Monday across Twitter that Daniel Agger would be a January target for Italian side Napoli and a number of media outlets followed that up with stories to confirm such.
Graeme Yorke of the Daily Mail reports that Napoli manager Rafael Benitez wants to take the Danish centre-back on loan for the rest of the season next month, similar to the deal which already sees Reds goalkeeper Pepe Reina in Naples.
Agger was on the bench for Liverpool's win over Spurs at the weekend.

Arsenal and Liverpool seem to be sharing a number of transfer targets for the forthcoming window, with Greek forward Kostas Mitroglou one of them.
Alex Richards of Mirror Football reports that both Premier League teams are monitoring the attacker, said to be worth around £7.5 million.
Mitroglou has 14 goals in 10 games in the Greek Super League this season, with another three in five Champions League fixtures.

Arsenal and Liverpool are also going head-to-head to sign Kevin Volland, reports Jim Hughes of Mirror Football.
The pacey Hoffenheim attacking midfielder is said to be wanted by up to five Premier League clubs, with the Gunners and the Reds heading the chase. A £12 million fee would be necessary to sign him in January.
He has scored seven goals in 15 games in this year's Bundesliga from a right-sided role, from where he can cut in and head to goal on his favoured left foot.
