Matt Cassel Isn't The Answer For The Chiefs

Yes, I said it.

I'm a die hard Chiefs fan and I needed to say it. To myself and to all of you. The way I think of it is like this: Matt Cassel brought a 17-0 team down to 11-5 and making them miss the playoffs. Matt Cassel threw 21 touchdowns and 11 interceptions with Wes Welker and Randy Moss. Tyler Thigpen threw 18 touchdowns and 12 interceptions with a bad o-line, Tony Gonzalez (only positive here) and Dwayne-I drop half the passes that are thrown to me-Bowe (Bowe is not as good as Welker or Moss...yet). Thigpen didn't even play in some of the games.

If i compare the numbers and not the teams surrounding it, I may think that Cassel is better, but if I do then I quickly pull the other way. I don't believe Matt Cassel is the answer or he is worth the $14.some million dollars the Chiefs payed him. I am pulling for Thiggy in the quarterback competition, but there is probably a less than 1% chance he will win it.

The Chiefs will recognize their mistake and renegotiate Cassel's contract and draft a quarterback or bring back good ol' Thiggy, if he doesn't get traded (which if he doesn't get to start, he deserves.
